PRODUCT GUARANTEES
We are responsible for ensuring that the products we supply are of satisfactory quality and conform to the sample.  Certain products have additional guarantees provided by the manufacturer.

STORAGE OF PRODUCTS
We can only keep products in our warehouse for a maximum of three months after the date of your order.  This includes any part-fitted products.  In the event that we agree to store your products for longer than three months, we will advise you if any charges for storage are applicable.

DOOR/ PLINTH TRIMMING
Doors may need to be trimmed to allow clearance depending on depth of chosen floor covering.  This is not part of the fitting work, unless this has been specifically agreed.  Doors may be removed to allow fitting of flooring.   We are unable to trim Fire doors, external doors and non-wood doors.
We can arrange for the trimming of all other doors and or plinths, this may not be on the day of fitting.  An additional charge will be made for this service. £20 per door payable direct to the carpenter or £25 plus vat invoiced.

UPLIFT AND DISPOSAL
If you require uplift and disposal our fitters will remove your old flooring and all offcuts and packaging from your new flooring.  We are not able to remove soiled carpet due to Health and Safety risk.  All uplifted floor covering will be returned to Melbourn Flooring bailed and re-cycled.
Please advise fitters if you require any offcuts to be left on site.

FURNITURE REMOVAL
Our fitters are happy to assist with moving a few small items of furniture but due to Insurance and Health and Safety guide lines we are unable to carry out the removal of large items, piano’s, antiques, any items over 4ft in height, white or electrical goods.
Please advise prior to fitting date if you are unable to remove furniture etc  to enable us to arrange additional labour and price accordingly.
Please ensure that areas are clear of furniture and all personal items to avoid delays or inconvenience with your fitting.

Alternatively any remedial work found necessary after removal of old floor covering will be price separately.
Any subfloor preparation carried out by others must be completed to an appropriate standard in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions for the products.

UNDERFLOOR HEATING PIPES AND WIRES
No liability will be accepted for damage to underfloor pipes or wiring if prior warning has not been given of their location.
